Synopsis Run from Thugs and Drugs is a contemporary action adventure novel about truant Luke. He moves to Wales to evade the Ardwick Barmy Army (ABA) where he finds the gang is running a county lines operation. Manchester Luke has to thieve cigarettes for his stepdad, and asks friend Robbie to cause a distraction. Luke is arrested. Rowan Joey runs into Tommo, who is selling drugs. Tommo offers Joey free samples, he declines. Manchester Luke attends the police station with his teacher and mentions the ABA. Rowan Joey spots Tommo going into a shepherd's hut. He returns and finds cannabis plants which he destroys. Luke and Joey discover Tommo is being used by the ABA. The ABA jump on school bus, there's a brawl. Luke enters the Manchester half-marathon and gets attacked by the ABA.
