Publisher's Synopsis
This is a slightly expanded version of Peter Faulkner's Kelmscott Lecture given at Kelmscott House in 2013, in which Faulkner intertwines a chronological account of his own academic and career history with his personal view on publications by other authorities on William Morris's life and work. There are a number of very useful references to Morris studies throughout the book, together with an appendix of books and articles by Faulkner himself.
