Grint, adopted son of the God of Thieves has been running cons across the countryside. When Eleanor, an envoy of the evil necromancer, Count Danghier, hires Grint to steal a rare artifact before the convergence of Terragard's two moons, his first instinct is to run. When she tells him it's in the Terrastags, a legendary city that's never been robbed, the challenge and prestige are too good to pass up.
What he finds is more than he bargained for. A sinister plan to unleash a new dark age using the blood of an innocent child in the artifact. Against his normally selfish mindset, Grint rescues the girl and flees into the mountains. In their desperate race against the moons, he'll have to outwit necromancers, assassins and rival thieves, never knowing what's worse... The monsters at his back or the mysterious girl at his side.
